When Cold Rain Falls

When cold rain falls upon the heart of life;
Flooding out the warmth of the sun.
Truth beckons quietly, from tears of pain;
Washing away debris, from what appears undone.

Sadness is but a wall between two gardens;
A dark path trod, devoid of little more than faith.
Benighted moments of searching for peace;
Oh for the scent of hope, to calm this wraith.

None are immune to pain in this life;
Seasons find each shadowed by darkness of a wall.
In time, each step forward will illuminate a path;
Out of color blind stones and an endless trawl.

Enjoy the garden, the color, the scent;
Memorize the pleasure, the joy and rife.
Moments of time are precious and cherished;
When cold rain falls upon the heart of life.
