Treasures on Display

What is it you want from me?
I ask within my silent rage.
Do you seek to ensnare me
Hold me within your silken cage?

Decorated with precious jewels
Masterfully crafted, hues of every color.
You come to me in brilliant costume
A fine and princely man of seeming valor.

Stripped naked of your wardrobe
Majestically tailored with silver laden thread.
My mind questions what you become
At night, as you lay down your weary head.

Your mouth speaks a foreign language
One, my heart does not understand.
I know not whether to follow you
Or run hastily from the place I stand.

My heart seeks solace from the torrential rains
A quiet place to softly land.
So take me not to your palace,
If you seek only, more treasures, on hand.
