Dancing with Delusions
Darkness of
the night sets in hard
A heart
chilled by silent memories of the day
The sun
abandons the sky for solace
While the moon stands melancholy, in place
She weeps softly
in the cover of night
For a love
that was never shared
Nursing a
façade of Eden found
The moment
in time… she dared
Nothing is
ever as it seems, buried in the umbra of passion
Illusions
magically adorned by the hue of the moon.
Shadows
carry their own province of deception
An enchanted
vision, playfully silhouettes a darkened room
Dancing with
delusion, as the clock strikes midnight
The tune tugs
the strings of a hopeful heart
Immersed in
a dream, once held in reverence
Sold in
pieces to the highest bidder - a la carte.
It is not
love that torments her battered heart
Rather, the
loss of another dream she held dear
Yet kisses
are a better fate than wisdom
And dancing,
trumps stagnation and fear.
