Dancers (a poem) Blogophilia 46.8 Haven of Snow

Two Dancers glide gracefully across the floor
Bodies moving in time, intertwined
Speak a soft language of their own
Lost in a moment delicately timed

Sentient beings enlightened by music
Bereft of surroundings and cares
Swooning to a rhythm of passion
While others watch with envious stares

Swirling, twirling, a gentle hold
Smiles beam from each face
A moment in time they’ll remember
A feeling, time cannot erase

The song reaches its final end
They close with one last valiant spin
A new song plays a different tune
Sit in the memory or shall we dance again?

    1. Kind of odd to read a comment like that on one of my poems! Mine aren't usually of the feel good nature it seems. Maybe a good sign for 2016!

    1. Thank you Colleen...always enjoy your comments. I always dance, but it's a beautiful thing when there are two in step with one another.

  9. I'd like to swirl and dance, but I have this habit of stepping on other peoples feet. Beautiful poem though.

  10. So romantic... but that is what dancing is... sensual. Beautiful penning and quite accurate. I would rather dance again, and again, and again. <3 ~Leta
