The Legend of Belle - Blogo 8.9 Shadows of Light

The Legend of Belle

Her silhouette dances in shadows of light
Flowing, fluttering, gliding beneath the moon
Delicate silver bells adorn her spectral threads
Composing a yearning, mystical tune

A prima donna within the moonlight
She owns the forest with her ambivalent charm
Dusting her saffron spell through her cast of trees
Mesmerized by her beauty, their spirits fawn

Her face masked within the darkness
Secrets shrouded within her arcane eyes
Known in legend as Belle, for there is no name
Only curious tales of her heartbreak and demise

They say she was once a beautiful soul
Joyous ballerina of beauty untold
Until the day her lover was taken away
By war, for a hand full of gold

She traded her last breath of agony
To dance with the moon in the night
Giving up the ghost of her lover
A broken heart, no longer her fight

  3. Sad story, ballerina's deserve better but often don't get it.

    1. Thank you Leta. I certainly didn't intend for it to end up so sad, but you know how the pen works. It has a mind of its own.
