A Poet’s Heart
A poet’s
heart inscribes each word;
Deep within
their yearning souls.
Nothing can
erase such etchings;
Cherished
surely, as ancient scrolls.
Is that what
creates a poet
Incisions of
love and pain?
The romance
of melancholy;
The moon’s blue
hue and waltzing rain.
A muse born
of a broken heart;
Chides with
promises of love.
Lends a pen
to write the words;
Until the
soul has hurt enough.
