Equilibrium
Pride and
ego wear differences with such valor
Separating
us from whom we are meant to be
The oneness
in love, shredded and shrouded by our diversity
The
forceps of life bring us forth
All born of
a first breath
All die - with
a last
Existence
spent to make our mark
Relentless searching
for who we are
The
fear of death follows the fear of life
Yearning for
a deeper love
Surviving
heartbreaking loss
Constantly weighing
the cost
We read or write
of living, in hope of answers
Maybe for
relief - or simply in belief
Of dreams we
feel close enough to touch
We all live
We all die
Breathing in
the same mortiferous air
Bodies of
bones, blood and water
Return to
nothing more than dust and ashes
Six
feet of earth makes us all equal
Close your
eyes and open your heart
Truly love
the depths of a wandering soul
Find a
missing piece of you…masterfully hidden inside
